The Stevie Richards Show 25 | Where Wrestling Went Wrong
This week, Stevie Richards is telling us what really grinds his gears about modern pro-wrestling. The silly tropes, pointless spots and lackluster story beats that makes Stevie shake his head. Elsewhere, Stevie will consider the stance of one Rey Fenix. The man who clearly feels like he is being held hostage by his employer and who cannot wait to let the full story out. Does he have valid reasons for his frustrations? Also, Stevie will be asking "What Went Wrong?" when he takes a look at the recent spot at WWE Survivor Series 2024 which saw Bronson Reed shatter his ankle.

Not all wrestlers can earn mega bucks. Those that do often start making little more than gas money each night on the indie scene, just like everyone else. This week, Stevie Richards talks about how much he earned over the years. From when he was breaking in and making £10 a match as "The Boy in The Hood" to his biggest paydays at WrestleMania. Stevie will also be looking at the 20 factors that define an "Independent Contractor" to see if that really is a fair term to use for any pro-wrestler.
Elsewhere, Stevie will be looking at possibly the WORST chair shots in recent histroy as we ask "What Went Wrong?" at WWE's recent Survivor Series: War Games 2024 as well as what happens when you "F.A.F.O" with Perry Saturn.

The InVasion Stevie Richards looks back at possibly the most destructive angle in the history of professional wrestling; the WCW "invasion" of the WWF, the would encompass ECW and lead up to a Survivor Series showdown for which company would control the destiny of pro wrestling. Of course the WWF won, and the storyline was booked so badly, the WWF ended up losing a third of their viewing audience in just 6 months, never to return.
Stevie discusses the night Vince McMahon bought WCW, McMahon firing everybody in a promo, Shane McMahon, Shawn Michaels' reaction, Buff Bagwell vs Booker T, Buff Bagwell getting fired and beaten up by Bradshaw and Bob Holly, Stevie's return to the screen as the manager of Kronik, the nicest wrestlers in WCW and so much more!

The Stevie Richards Show Episode 22 | Paul F'in Heyman
In this episode, we are talking about one of the most polarizing figures in the world of professional wrestling. A man whose name is synonymous with both revolution and controversy. In 1993, Heyman took control of what was once Eastern Championship Wrestling and transformed it into a hardcore, rebellious promotion that will forever change the landscape of the industry. It was a breeding ground for innovation and giving rise to legends like Tommy Dreamer, Raven, The Sandman and many others.
Under Heyman's leadership, the promotion became a sanctuary for the outcasts, the misfits and the wrestling fans who wanted something raw and something real. But while Heyman may have been a visionary for his time, running ECW was not without its fair share of scandals. Behind the scenes, Ecu's finances were a disaster, for Heyman's passion for the product was undeniable, but his ability to handle the business side was far less successful. From bouncing checks to lying to his talent about payments, many of the roster members were left in the dark, literally and financially. As the promotion struggled to stay afloat.
The company's eventual collapse in 2001 was a direct result of these financial mismanagement issues.Despite all the passion and energy Heyman poured into his promotion, by the time he went under the unpaid wages, the broken promises and the bouncing checks had left a bitter taste in the mouths of many who have worked for him. Today we discuss the legacy of Paul Heyman.
Welcome to episode 22 other Steve Richard Show.
Stevie Richards surprised, entertained and informed the wrestling world in 2023 when he debuted the Stevie Richards' Wrestling Analysis YouTube channel to widespread critical acclaim. Combining his experience in the wrestling profession with his keen eye for detail and a passion for teaching fans and workers alike, Richards achieved over 100,000 YouTube subscribers in a matter of months with his short form videos explaining exactly what went right or wrong in a particular match or manoeuvre.
With 30+ years working for nearly every major American promotion during their hottest periods (ECW, WCW, WWE, TNA), Stevie Richards is not only dusting off his patented whiteboard and marker to once again break down the psychology and physicality of this crazy business, but Stevie is now adding to his repertoire by debuting a weekly show, imaginatively titled The Stevie Richards Show.
The "show" in The Stevie Richards Show is the key word - this will not be another run of the mill podcast recorded on Zoom, clipped up and posted 8 times a day on YouTube and featuring a disinterested ex pro wrestler out to make a quick buck. What makes The Stevie Richards Show a "show" will be the attention to detail given to every episode, including added on screen annotations, factoids, images and video and 4K camera set up to give the sharpest, best looking, broadcast quality videos on YouTube. Most importantly of all, The Stevie Richards Show's output will be about quality, not quantity.Every Friday, Stevie Richards and co-host James Romero (WSI | Wrestling Shoot Interviews, Story Time with Dutch Mantell) will discuss the latest news, delve deep into the wrestling profession with more detail and first hand experience than any other podcast, answer fan submitted questions and, yes, break out the whiteboard to break down the what went right, or wrong, in the wrestling world. The Stevie Richards Show on YouTube and all podcast platforms.YouTube link: https://www.youtube.com/@StevieRichardsShow

Jobbers. Enhancement Talents. Carpenters.
Whichever moniker you wish to use, there is no doubt that they are the STAR MAKERS of the world of pro-wrestling. They play an important part in getting people over. Some make it their duty to make the other guy look like a million bucks. Some become legends in their own right and even though they lost more matches than they won, the fans loved them.
This week, Stevie Richards will be talking about the importance of "doing the job" and letting another guy go over, who would complain about putting Stevie over and the RIGHT way to lose a match.
Stevie will also be giving his opinions on the guys who deserved a bigger stage than they got, the stars who weren't allowed to shine as bright as they could, the guys who chose to push themselves and the ones who were just underutilized by the machine.
Then, Stevie asks "What Went Wrong?" when he takes a look at what happened when Mike Blackwell decided he didn't want to do the job for The Skyscrapers. Stevie will also rank the Nicest Guys in the locker room and end the episode by analyzing Randy "macho Man" Savage's famous Elbow Drop.

Following a discussion about a recent Rolling Stone article on Vince McMahon's "Culture of Fear" according to former writers, Stevie Richards opens up about not only his experiences with the writers room, creative meetings and the culture he witnessed but also his experiences backstage and the toxic culture that thrived there for many years. From being literally being kicked from a chair by a veteran and being snubbed for not shaking hands, to taboo subjects that could get you fired if you so much as mentioned them. As well as the divisive "Wrestler's Court" and those who would be banished form the locker room for the worst indiscretions, Stevie will also take a very close look at the case of Mr. Kennedy, the rising star who's WWE career may have been tanked because of one mistake in the ring.
